Job Description:

Talented and enthusiastic - media savvy - individuals required to join dynamic media production team. The team will embark on a series of production assignments throughout the East Midlands which will be marketed throughout the region. These assignments will be a mix of volunteer and paid-for jobs with the volunteer work being mainly for a student focused (and ran) video magazine focused on clubbing, music and fashion. The content of the magzine will include:

interviews
vox pox
event highlights
news features
mini-documentaries
other mini-features and projects

Roles within the team will include:

camera man (video)
sound man
lighting assistant
tv presenter
researcher
post-production editor
director
producer

Person Specification:

Applicants should ideally be studying a media related course and be eager to gain some hands on production experience outside of university work. Also candidates will take advantage of the opportunity to to gain experience whilst obtaining work that can go towards developing their portfolio.

Ideally candidates will be studing at one of the following establishments:

De Montfort University
Leicester University
Nottingham University
Nottingham Trent University
University of Derby

Skills Required:

Varying skills will be required depending on the role to be filled by the the successful candidate. General skills include:

understanding of video editing and the computer software used in the process
working knowledge of recording equipment (video camera, lights, microphones etc)
ability to contribute towards the planning of an assignment
