Job Description:

The new vacancies in the WIARD Promotions Press Team will mainly involve writing for the WIARD FM online magazine which is targeted at readers in the age range of 16-24 years old, who are primarily located in London and the Midlands, and focuses on the subjects of music, events and fashion.

Whilst the role of journalist is not currently a paid position candidate should relish the fact the articles published in the on-line magazine will be included in the printed publications of our off-line partners.

Journalist/writers will be offered assignments on a weekly basis which will involve producing copy covering the following areas:

  • news articles/features
  • interviews (musical artists etc)
  • concert/event reviews
  • fashions shows/reviews
  • music reviews

Person Specification:

Ideally a person studying either; English, Journalism or any other media (or marketing) related discipline will successfully fill the vacancy and join our team of writers.

The candidate should possess a strong vocabulary and grammar with keen attention to detail. An interest in music, fashion and the entertainment industry in general would an advantage as alot of the work will involve covering entertainment news, artists features and events.
